Hellín will have quality tasting menus for the visitor to live a different experience, based on the four star products of Hellín: candies, Rice, wine and oil

Hellin. 22 July 2021.- The Department of Tourism of the Hellín City Council has launched the new campaign for this summer-autumn, called "Taste Hellín" and with the slogan "A land of colors, a land of flavors ”aims to promote experience tourism, that the visitor can go to the city to eat typical products and to know all its corners.

 

La concejala de Turismo, María Jesús López, presented this campaign at a press conference assuring that “With Taste Hellín we not only seek that tourists stop to eat in Hellín and leave, we want you to savor and taste Hellín. And that is why we will ask the hospitality establishments to participate in a commitment to quality and a hellinera identity ".

 

"Gastronomic packages will be proposed to private restaurants and through the Hospitality Association 28 May for establishments to offer the Taste Hellín menu, a tasting menu with typical Hellineros products, that ensures quality, service and image to the visitor ". It is estimated that a score of restaurants adhere to this campaign and thus the tourist will be able to choose between different menus and places. "Those who come and taste will be able to act as ambassadors for Hellín after trying this differential menu, with the so-called experience tourism ", the councilor explained.

 

Four star products in "Saborea Hellín"

 

The campaign will offer visitors helliner products with four of them prominently: the traditional Hellín candy, which has been manufactured in the city since the mid-nineteenth century in a completely artisanal way; Hellinero wine that is included within the Jumilla Protected Designation of Origin; Bomba rice D.O. Calasparra as one of the only three rices with a denomination of origin in Spain and whose 50 percent of production is carried out in Hellín; and the certified extra virgin olive oil Campos de Hellín with several oil mills distributed throughout the city and its districts. Also, others such as organic almonds will be promoted, artisan cheese, apricot and peach, all quality and certified products.

 

The councilor also reported in the appearance that "with the big data We already see that the beginning of the campaign is taking effect, and the arrival of tourists from Murcia and Alicante is increasing. It's a way not to go blind, since with this data we can evaluate if the campaigns are working and who we have to address "

 

For the Taste Hellín campaign, the City Council has placed advertising of Hellín's gastronomy in all formats (municipality, newspapers, provincial television) in the regions of Castilla-la mancha, Valencian Community and Region of Murcia.
